I previously had problems downloading VMWare Player itself and somebody on this forum gave me the Linux Terminal commands to do that.
My problem now is actually getting my VM ( Windows 10 ) to connect to the internet.
My understanding is that Network Adapter settings have to be set correctly, specifically that 'Bridged' and 'Connected' must be ticked.
But when I tick them I get a window telling me there is an error and to look in vmware.log.
The first error message there ( near the very top says ) :
DictionaryLoad: Cannot open file "/usr/lib/vmware/settings": No such file or directory.
I can send the entire vmware.log file if you like.
