This is the latest vmplayer (15.5.1) on a Linux host with Windows 10 guest.
When I hit "Update VMWare Tools" on the guest, it says it is downloading, then asks for the root password, and then nothing happens. It is stalled at "Update of VMware Tools for Windows 95, 98, Me and NT pending..." I am not sure why it is attempting to update Windows 95/98/NT when my system is Windows 10. I suspect the problem might be related to that. The VM Settings is clearly set to Windows 10 x64 as the guest. Rebooting the guest does not change anything. It still gets stuck at the same place. Any ideas?
