Hi all was using VMPlayer and had a great deal of success with a virtual Windows 7 installation. Recently I ran out of disk space and before I got a chance to clean up and extend the hard disk capacity, the virtual image became corrupt. The message referred to the following:
Windows 7.vmx* is not a valid virtual machine configuration file.
I noticed in one of the previous posts that one of the respondants (to this same sort of problem) was able to recreate a *.VMX* file from some log files. I only have the attached log files and ask that someone assist me by making a clean *.VMX* file with the attached log files for me to try. I need the contents of the VM image really badly.
Please assist me with this request.
Thank you in advance.
edit: moved from VMware Fusion® (for Mac) to VMware Player
